A dark, strange, oddly familiar one. An inverted Virgil navigating the hero through “a small world, after all.” Again you’ve made something original, trademark infringements aside, that has the spark of recognition in it.

Maybe I’m reaching, but I detect a sort of gnostic tone in the writing I’ve read of yours so far. The world as a counterfeit creation, a trap, which we can never step outside of but are resigned to live within its artifice, lightened (only?) by the fact that we realize we are in this predicament. Not getting our hopes up, etc.

The beginning dialogue about football/God/Disney was really funny, and enjoyed the whole setup of Disney as corporate demiurge, and how locked in other people are to its game.
